I think we certainly need to have more options/structures as an attacking threat than we have seen in the 3 pre season games and am hoping its been a case of keeping our powder dry during preseason than having made no changes to our attacking options.
We are far too reliant as has been said on tries from the boot of Sneyd or individual skill from Kelly/Connor or a break from Shaul, as we lack the ability to break teams down in the opposition's 20 and create openings. Which makes us far to predictable and easy to defend against.
Whilst some of what Schofield says is plausible for me any credible spouting he comes up with is shot down by classing Kleinhorst & Garbutt as quality signings, Kleinhorst couldn't get regular game time in the Rhinos squad that finished in the bottom 4 and Garbutt for me is ok but no better than say Huby and certainly not quality.
Seems that if you played for Leeds you are automatically a quality player in Schofields head.
Its yet to be seen how things will pan out this season with the changes to the game particularly with the reduction in interchanges.
Are match day 17 squads going to carry a hooker or utility player just incase or go all out with forwards on the benches?
Too early to say how we will go but don't think the pre season has helped get the hopes up of a decent season as after attending all 3 pre season games nothing much has changed as in speed at which we play/move the ball, support play and options for the runner if a break is made was still awful and lacking and DISCIPLINE still not improved greatly.'"
Its the reason we should be pointing the finger at Radford because despite all the reported hard work of the coaching staff we fans see nothing that has changed in our play and the indiscipline which is something the coaches can eliminate has still not improved.
Without doubt Radford will go for four forwards on the bench.
On a positive note our fitness has gone up a level this pre season and may help us stay in some close games.
