Quote: Rogues Gallery "And therein lies the problem. Stop signing overage, average, antipodean players and invest in your own academy and reserve grade.
Having six, seven or eight overseas players is NOT the answer. The RFL need to act quickly and get the numbers down to at most four, personally I'd like it to be two.'"
Last night our only overseas players were Faraimo, Talanoa, Carlos and Manu.
Of those Manu has vast NRL experience, and while out of form currently can't be considered average.
Faraimo has scored a lot of tries in a struggling team and physically is bigger than a lot of wingers in SL, ive also seen some creative kicks and touches this year. He has more skills to be developed I feel.
The other two you might have more of an argument for 'Wouldent a British player be as good or better' but you have to consider the home grown centre/wing option is the unimpressive Logan.
We did develop our last few centres and Wings but Briscoe got so good he chose to leave, Lineham couldn't behave himself and of course we developed and played Yeaman for years. I don't think we are the worst club for development.
