He also scored a last minute try in the last game of the 1978/79 season to confirm the 100% record as we beat New Hunslet 6-1 in front of a remarkable Divison 2 crowd of 12,424.

Always remember his head bandage, good solid pro who was reliable and never shirked away from whatever came his way. Moved on back to fev for 85/86 season and totalled 450 club appearances in total from the start of the 70/71 season (only making his debut at 20), no mean feat given his limited appearances at the back end of his Hull career.
