Quote ComeOnYouUll="ComeOnYouUll"Or more likely will have little effect like Briscoe, Crooks, Miller, Lineham, Westerman et al.'"
When Radford dropped Miller and Crooks we lost significantly more games without them which meant we were on the verge of relegation, given how shambolic London were and how Bradford were skullf'kd + giving up hope at the back end, we were effectively 1 point from being relegated. It made a LOT of difference without them in the side, the win ratio was still better with them from the awful 2014 season than it was for 2015.
Losing Briscoe we didn't notice because we were so crap in 2014, Talanoa stood out because how poor the rest of the team were.
Westerman improved after leaving Hull but again he was being used as a prop by Radford not his proper role so it's not surprising we didn't miss him that much.
We paid a big wedge of salary for a like for like to replace for Lineham, arguably Lineham is a better defender than Fonua, Fonua a slightly better attacking player though 54 tries in 68 appearances puts Lineham as the best return of tries for any Hull winger in the last 100 years.
ATEOTD it's always difficult, impossible to know/predict how a team would go with or without any given player, even pivotal ones. It is what it is but as others I feel it weakens us enough particularly at a time when we are already short of numbers that it could make the difference between making the 4 and not but it's an opinion like most things on here.
As I said in the M8s thread, we lost 12 games from 30 last year and were 3rd, I reckon things are going to be just as tight with a handful of points covering 4 or 5 teams with possibly one team surging ahead (Saints) like Cas did last year.
