I agree - he is a full back that very rarely saves tries.

The grubber kick try was awful. On replays you could see he started to go the other way (presumably thinking Gale would get the ball), then when it went the other side he couldn't get there in time.

Totally dumb in my opinion. He had to wait to see which way the ball was going before setting off! The play the ball was central by the posts and he is very quick over first 10 meteres. He could have covered either way.

Ben Barba is showing the rest of SL what a good fullback can bring.
Jamie is a great fullback but needs to be more direct.

I agree with your sentiments but----Ben Barba is showing the rest of SL what a great fullback can bring.
Jamie is a good fullback but needs to be more direct.

He needs to learn when to time his run, where he needs to run pre/post getting the ball and when to pass.
Open field play he's one of the top two FB in the country, linking up in the red zone, shocking.
As already mentioned his positioning on the line can be poor, too often he doesn't get to the play in time or is there to help out when a player crashing over from short range.
He's not learnt in those facets which is more concerning, he's been the first choice Hull FB pretty much from summer of 2013, he's 26 this summer and should have already identified where his weaknesses are and be working on it.
IF he does that then he'd be further up the pecking order for England, I just don't think he has it in him certainly not on the linking up in attack which at international level is more important than the scoots he makes.

Carlos MOM vs wire
Griffin 1 of the best v Leeds ( 1st game in his time here we've hit him with good early ball)
Connor makes stuff happen..behind Kelly of most x factor player
Radford has to make 3 go into 2 or 1 spends half a game warming the bench
the alternative is Connor at 1 allowing all 3 to play.
Of the 4 players on this season's form Shaul is the weakest by quite a bit

Needs to find some consistency, was great against Warrington and St George but poor in others.

He looks better when Abdul is at 13, as it gives us 3 pivots and allows Shaul to play his more natural game.
