Just back from the RLWC and can't wait to go back for the main event in February.
A great tour with some unbelievable memories but only one minor issue...All beware over zealous security staff in the 'pubs'. Not sure they are used to the boisterous nature of English RL fans and there where consequently one or two unpleasant situations where elderly (50's) fans where ejected with inappropriate force for apparently doing very little. To add salt to the wound on each occasion these fans where arrested once they had been dispatched to the street.
The beer is ridiculously expensive and weak !!

According to the Wigan Chairman tickets are selling well for the Hull v Wigan game. A lot of expats buying tickets.

I got tickets, depends if you are fussy where you sit ?
Got confused over the double header, there are conflicting 'seating plans' which have the stadium reversed ! Finally got tickets in the Hull section - hopefully on the 25 - these re Class 2 tickets. Class 1 are more expensive and around half way line - matter of choice really.
Just seems a long way to go to risk poor seats ?

Yep fair point, not going to bother with the double header though, got some Aus mates joining us and given the 83k capacity they'll be no problem getting in. I'll get Hull end tickets for the Wollongong game and some for the Melbourne vs Rhino's game. |

One thing I noticed when in Australia last time. No matter how old you are, you will be asked to show ID to get into bars. I was 35 last time I went and thought it was hilarious.

Looked ideal & really cheap but it seems some tourist boards are tour 'partners' & decided which hotels were available - SAGE not amongst them. Either that or it was block booked by Wigan ??
Gave up on Woolongong - now In Sydney for 12 days, currently no sign of the club assisting with transfers so will probably also hire a car for the day, not sure about the public transport back for the evening kick off ?'"
sorry missed this post earlier. there are trains back to sydney on the night but one leaves at 9.53 then there is a gap of an hour or so, but yes you can get there and back on the train. the train station looks to be around 10 minutes walk from the ground
