| My first thought when I see Westerman's name is of those crap seasons where we was one of the main players in the side. It's completely unfair really, he never gave anything less than 100% to the club, it's just his performances embodied the teams performances in those seasons - inconsistent, error-strewn, lacking that touch of quality in attack etc.
What we maybe forget is he was being asked to do a job as a ball player and creator that we just wasn't able to do to a high enough level, and the mistakes he made (someone mentioned the Leeds game ![Smile icon_smile.gif](images/smilies//icon_smile.gif) ) really stuck out because they were usually in important positions.
He's a different player at Warrington, he's a consistent high performer in a side boasting a lot of quality players (even if the team have been poor this year), he's not being used in the same way he was at Hull.
If Radford would have him back, a coach who knows him the best, who are we to argue? If Ellis leaves, we need a replacement capable of taking on the dirty work - the workrate, the long minutes down the middle, the tackles, the hard yards. I don't think we can afford to give Abdull the 13 shirt at the moment as he doesn't yet have these attributes that our team needs in it's 13 as it's current set up. He'd be quality in the opponents half when we have the ball, but I'm not confident he could fulfil these other elements that a 13 needs, but he has loads of time on his side.

| People had it in for Westy from day one here. He was (through no fault of his own) bought during the time we were being royally screwed by uncle Kath. When basically it was - 'yes we're driving this club to the ground, but look who we've bought for a 6-figure sum' every off season.
He was our best player for two of the years he was here and in the top 3 or 4 in the others.
That said, we simply don't play a style that suits his style anymore and our 13 is basically an extra prop. To be fair that's how Agar used to play, but he had Thorman & Washy in the halves whereas Radford has Sneyd & Kelly.

Give it a rest, you was wrong, accept it, Westerman overated , never fulfilled his "potential" whilst at Hull, him leaving was the catalyst for a better Hull FC. Just look at Warrington now, I dont care if hes been one of Warringtons better players, still overated and not what we need.

I can't disagree with that.

| I just think if the club think he,s the right player to add to the squad now, bearing in mind what we stand to lose out of the pack over the next year or two then let them get on with it, after all how many said on here that they would,nt touch albert Kelly with a barge pole, hey radders and his staff have done a pretty good job with recruitment in the last couple of years
