Friends have said to me in the past that they will never understand why I am so fanatical about a sports team. Every morning I wake up and the first thing I do is check league websites for news and gossip and whatever. I spend almost every waking second thinking about our great game, reading about it, listening to commentries, watching games. Screaming, cheering, singing, swearing at refs (I am the nutter in the south-west corner! ![]()
I'm all this and I'm old and wrinkly!!!

We were written off by everyone before we had set foot onto a pitch by all the pundits, yet we could have 2 pieces of silver in the cupboard come 10.15 on Friday night. We do like as Hull Folk to say a proverbial "up yours" to the outside world and this Friday is another chance.

It started for me in 1976 when a work colleague took me to watch my first game of league and boy I was hooked straight away. I've seen a lot(not as much as some) and the highs and lows as an FC supporter have been unbelievable.
We nearly disappeared into oblivion until Richardson turned up. We rise up from the ashes and now here we are.
This is a different group to all who went before. For me they are hewn from a very different rock.
As of now they are legend . They've won a cup and got rid of that song.
But fir me this is much more.
They now have the chance to win the competition and show that they are the best team in the league this season. I know a lot don't rate the LLS but I do. This shield is given to the best the top of the tree. The grand final is what it is a money making show so they can pay muppets to spout off on TV.
Next Friday should be massive. The stadium needs to rock. We need to be ready to give it all.
I can't wait to see my team transform from legend to immortal because that's what it means to me.

Have I peaked too early!'" Great post its only just Monday and I feel even more nervous then I did before the cup final. Looking forward to an absolute fantastic electric atmosphere, the best the KCom has ever witnessed since it was built in 2003. All the fans are bouncing, I cant imagine how all the players are feeling all of a sudden. The 18th man has never being more needed to help the boys to victory on friday and win the LLS for the first time. COYH  |

Really looking forward to it. More than Wembley in some respects, as that game meant so much on so many levels I couldn't relax and enjoy it. Until we won it!
After fulfilling a lifetime ambition, anything else that comes this year is an amazing bonus.
What a season we've had.
