Or that the man in the middle takes no notice. I agree with you that refs should act on the TJs call but it doesn't always happen. Most forwards are called by the crowd, certain clubs get the rub everytime.

Having been an official at pro level, I can confirm that refs don't always act on a call from the TJ. They may well get a "forward forward forward" call in their ear, but ultimately it is the ref's choice as they often have a different view of the game. The TJ is there to judge touch and kicks at goal and intervene for serious foul play (coming on with the flag). TJ's calls maybe ignored more than taken. It is less clear to fans since the advent of comms sets as prior to that they used hand signals for forwards etc. and that was more obvious to fans.

It was pretty warm when we took Saints to the cleaners in an earlier round. Won't be an issue for our team we've shown countless times this season that we are fit and finish strongly.
