| So he has turned down a £2K pay cut with little chance of progressing to the first team?

Your so bitter, pretty sad really. Just because he's out shone your blue eyed boy for 2 and half seasons , get over it

To be fair , radfords taken a wage cut after 2 very poor seasons, and ticket prices have been reduced on the back of them 2 terrible seasons, so why shouldn't the players also take a pay cut !

You can tell don't go to academy games.
Dean was better last year, but Harry spent a lot of time injured, previous season Harry was the much better player and has started the year really well.
The fact Rovers and Hull see Dean as a FB, tells its own story.

Really? After reading that, id say its you that doesnt, deans been better this year, played more at donny and played well, he was far better last season, granted htw did have his injuries. And the season before, dean was better before having is own injuries. And whats the position got to do with it, as looked good in recent weeks at fb, so maybe hull and rovers are right. Its not ssing contest dave, just makes me laugh how people see things now deans leaving, htw wont make it, abdul will never make it as a first choice 6 or 7. Dean like you say might play fb for whoever. So we still havnt solved the home grown half back problem out, and doesnt look like we will in the near future. I would of love to see htw and dean both make it into the first team at 6 and 7, but thats not going to happen

Coaching staff don't agree with you, that's why Dean has either played 19's or played at FB while the two mentioned have played halfback.
So I'll take the opinion of Radford, Horne and Wilson over yours.
Position has a lot to do with it, we don't need a FB, but could do with a half, so it makes sense to keep the players who are have more chance of playing halfbacks than FB.
He has a good chance of still making a SL player, but I would bet that both Abdul and HTW have better careers.

| Just shows the level of RL knowledge on here and the insular nature of Hull folk.
Clearly the coaching staff don't rate him high enough as a halfback. We have probably the UK's best fullback in our ranks, Naughton as cover too. Motu has gone to Aus/NZ not just to watch an international game, but an international player to replace a frankly tired Pryce.
The team needs little tweaking - I'd say a class 6 and a powerful centre and thats it.
If Dean goes to Rovers - not Wigan, Saints or Leeds - then that says more about his ability than our retention policy.

In fairness *1865* has had a consistent view of Dean for as long as I can remember. And a few of the other posters who attend Academy games regularly.
While I agree that people tend to turn on players who are leaving (or even rumoured to be leaving) I don't see that happening on this thread to any great degree. Opinions on young players tend to differ widely because it's so hard to judge future potential at that age.
