Just out of interest, does anyone remember what year he played in every position (1-13) in a single season? I'm sure he's still the only player in the Superleague era to do it but can't remember when.

I really don't think he has played in all positions in one season, not sure where you heard that, he has however played in every position over his career.
IIRC he tweeted a few seasons back about having now played in every position, that wasn't referencing a single season. |

Yeh I agree not in one season well he hasn't started in every position in one season anyway. For instance, I stand to be corrected but I can't remember him ever being selected as a starting prop. However he has certainly slotted in there during a game or off the bench when needed. He said in his speech at his Benefit Dinner that he had played in every position for Hull FC but referred to his utility benefits both in the starting line up and when called upon to stand into unfamiliar roles during games. He has certainly played everywhere at one time or another though!

I can't remember when but I have it firmly stuck in my mind that during one season he covered 1-13 albeit off the bench or switching during a game. I'm sure it was mentioned somewhere in the media because I had no idea until I heard it. It just stuck in my mind as a real achievement in any sport. Maybe someone with a better memory or investigative skills might be able to find out. Even if I'm mistaken, Whiting is Superman!

Anyone know the details of the loan, I.e. will he play in the cup next week? Would be good to have him as an option should we get a lower league team in the next round resting some of our current first team.

He couldn't play for us (Leigh) in the last round of the Cup against Workington. So I doubt he will be playing against Tolouse. |
