Which clearly refers to his coaching ability as that was what was being discussed but interpret it whatever way you like.
As for the Michaels/Carney dates, totally irrelevant, are you saying we only became interested after Carney was suspended and after knowing what had happened belatedly asked the players what they thought...give over.
If we were so interested in signing someone else in the backs then why did we resign SM at that point, we already had 3 wingers already so why not wait, he was the obvious one to let go according to most fans here, certainly no-one else was after him.
You have your opinion & the club will run out whatever they like because certain fans lap up everything as gospel.

I'll interpret it in the same way as everyone else but you. You called him a turd.

I understand this logic but that's not what Bumpy posted.

Quote: Mild mannered Janitor "Or put another way, you have no evidence or back up to your claims. You just wish them to be true. You are the David Icke of this forum.'"

Okay, you're right and everything the club say is true, congratulations...
Except my logic is far more sound than yours, if we have this supposed cap space left over from letting Westerman go how can we have the strongest squad possible by not spending right up to the cap? Do you think other clubs that are vying for the top spots will have the salary of a decent standard player (an England rep at that) unspent for next year?
I'm not saying Westerman was on a massive wedge but it combined with say for instance Michaels would be enough to get a replacement of a very decent stature for the backs.
Why, if we have this much talked about imbalance of quality between the forwards and the backs has this not occured, do you think wasn't noticed by the coach/club long before the actual selling of Westerman or of the Carney incident, do you not see the resigning of Yeaman & Micheals (& indeed Naughton to a degree) as a sure sign that we were never going to sign anyone else of quality in the backs (other than CT & MF) & that we needed to let Westerman go to get us under the cap?
Just because you are unable to see things and beleive anything coming out of the club to try put a positive spin on everything doesn't mean others have to follow suit, nor should it mean that other posters that disagree post abusive comments such as that that i responded to.

So he was right and you don't have any evidence to back up your claims?

You're basically making up a situation with no factual evidence of any of it happening, and then having a pop at people when they pull you up on it. What did you expect? icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif

You could quite easily say that this happened: Our recruitment and squad was complete. However, afterwards, the club found that Westy was wanting away after his contract was due to expire in 2016, and decided that we're well covered in the back row and to cash in and free up the cap space. Then, looking at options on what to do with that new found space, they made enquiries to sign a decent, available back (in an area we're not short on in numbers, but definitely in quality).

What I've done there is exactly what you've done, just put pieces of a jigsaw together. Like you, I have no proof things happened like this, but I'm not arrogant enough to think everyone should believe it and it can't be challenged.

Michaels to Wakey, BJB, Chase, player votes, Shaul not wanting to get changed in front of him icon_lol.gif , they're all just rumours from strangers on an internet forum. Relax and see what happens before getting angry. Surely this isn't the first off-season you've been on here, this kind of chat happens every year.
