To be fair, as I understand Rankin talked himself out of a contract (release clause?) and wanted to go home anyway? As for getting rid of Shaul, I think that's short sighted. Yes he's a bit raw, but he's very young and IMO will become a star.

| good run out for our youngsters, in the game for most parts, hopefully finish with a win against cats, Imo the top 8 playoffs need a tinkle with as to many dead matches

| Good effort again from Hull, yet another game we could have won with a little more composure.

I think a slight tweak to make it a playoffs a top6 instead of top4 could help keep the interest, while still making it hard for the 5th/6th teams to get to the final, though we would have still been out of the running a few weeks back.
We've got to beat Catalan next week, they've won one away game at Wakefield all year, half their team is leaving and you can't imagine they'll be all that bothered. So anything less than 2 points would be a weak display from us.

| Start the super 8s with The team finishing top of the regular season on 6pts , 2nd on 4pts and 3rd start on 2 points the other 5 teams starting on zero . That would be my idea on how to do it but tbf if I were a Wigan or Leeds fan I'd want it to stay as it is

Keep it as it is, we will be in the top 4 next season anyway according to AP

| Not fair to change it. It's up to us to win more games in the first part.
Rankin was great, maybe his best game for us, but their has been plenty of average ones. Still annoyed by kick on the first tackle when we had their 12 men on the rack at 4-0.
Sill mistakes and poor discipline.

| Also how did the officials miss the forward pass for their first try in the 2nd half, but managed to spot all of ours.

How many great games has he had for us? A handful at best
As for tonight, plenty of effort but we were rubbish with the ball - far too many soft errors and poor decision making.
We have some good players coming in but they're not addressing our real weaknesses which for me are the halfs and hooker. Another disappointing season in 2016 beckons IMO

| On the super 8 format, something needs doing to make all games matter, yes part of it needs to be done by us but it's no good having dead rubbers 4 weeks into the concept, didn't catch the crowd tonight but there can't have been more than 6000 inside the ground, it must be hitting our club and other clubs financially

Spot on, we're strengthening the team in areas such as the 2nd row which are already strong. I'm still far from convinced by the halves, Sneyd is inconsistent and doesn't lead the team around the field, I can cut Pryce some slack tonight as he clearly wasn't match fit, but we've signed him a good few years too late. The never ending search for quality, consistent halves continues.
