| It's more frustrating then 98-99 because in those days everything was wrong off the field, things are not like that now, or didn't need to be. I take the point about Pearson going, but he has to realise very quickly that his stupid decisions are ruining the club and it's so obvious. The coach being the big one. Pearson moans about the lack of talent coming through, but we've had a sprinkling of a few good young players he's wasted, and more worrying we have a brilliant 19s side that will be completely wasted on Radford. The farce with the merger will mean that we'll probablly never see a young player come through the ranks again or at least for the foreseeable future (the concept is not a bad one but logistics and the uncertaincy of it all will take years to iron out). Again he moans about attendance's, but attendances's are reflective of what happens on the field, a new coach would at least encourage some stay aways back and give the side a fighting chance.
If he wants to stay pig headed and not lose face that's up to him, he'll lose money and we'll lose our club, or as we know it now anyways. It's very depressing at the moment though, on the face it might not seem so bad but it's hard not to feel disillusioned when you think what could have been, and how easy we could get back in track but seem unwilling to do so.

| pearson's biggest mistake was piissing off allam. It has made things difficult on so many levels but mainly it has completely ruined any chance we have of leveraging our use of the best stadium in SL. For a supposed savvy businessman he sure makes some monumental fukk ups

To be honest I know nothing of his other business interests, but you have to wonder if what was achieved at City during his time was more to due circumstances and them being much much bigger then a 4th division club rather then decisions he made. It didn't work out for him at Derby, and on the evidence here I still think he's a genuine bloke and hearts in the right place but he's never going to come out on top with Allam, he's let Hudgell spin him a yarn with the merger and whoever is advising him on on the field and coaching matters obviously has an agenda and is able to influence him. When he took over from his reputation at City you wouldn't have thought that would be the case.

| This is the worst period since the last worst period. And it's been going on for 7 years (about half the time between now and the last dark period).
But worst in history? Embarrassing.

| The problem is that most of the fans started to appear when SL was introduced and since then the team gradually got better ie bringing more fans. Then 2005 our biggest year and CC final. Fans therefore don't remember the really bad times before that. I believe we most definitely have the players to win but we have a coach that goes on so much about how good our youngsters are and plays them a couple of times they have great games and you don't see them again. How must that make them feel. Then goes and buys top players so they won't stand a chance. A decent coach wouldn't do that he would keep playing them. That's something we lack. Get a new coach who can boost the youngsters up give them confidence and show us what they can do. That's how it was done years ago when we were a great team. The thing is now it's only about money and that has spoiled it big time.

| I agree worse period in the clubs history...
Just to add I think one of the best was stood with around 500 fans in Charleston, being told the club had no future and the only way out was to fold and start again from the bottom.

| Worst certainly not, nothing could be much worse than the 98/99 fiasco.
But at times, certainly been one of the most boring this last couple of years.

| I agree Jimmy it really is boring to watch. I've had to literally push myself to go to games even though I'm a pass holder. There's just no excitement there its all gone. Unfortunately I will pick and choose my games next season I've seen and heard enough rubbish now to keep believing. if Pearson still thinks Radford is the man then he obviously isn't bothered about the club. He didn't waste much time getting rid of Gentle.

| Obviously it isn't. Hope Pearson sticks it out though and gets it right in the end. No one else hanging around to take over I shouldn't imagine.
