Have been playing this for a week now, came 4th in superleague first season, went on to win at old traffod to become champs, started out playing as hull fc already in superleague, so not tried to rise from the bottom yet.
Best advice i can give if you are going to play this is to get the best available scout and the best coaches you can right from the off, (especially alliance coaches) and don't forget to go to the team tactics to set up your team calls and your play book, i went for structured attack and defence but u can set each move from tackles 1 - 6 and from each different areas of the pitch.
I am already addicted to this game, i keep saying ok one more match then i'll come off and before you know it 3 or 4 hrs have gone lol.

Bought it from Steam last night. Haven't played a match yet as too busy checking out the coaching and tactics area etc but looking forward to testing it out more tonight.

Well I played this last night for a few hours and it's highly addictive. Gone for an ab-lib attack and structured defence (default settings) and it's got me to 5th in the league with FC so far and scoring points for fun (nilled a few teams along the way too). I'm also into the quarter finals of the cup. Should be looking at a semi-final date as my QF opponents are Sheffield so fingers crossed on that one.

I agree with Ian.F.C.'s advice by the way. Make sure you get your backroom staff in order early on. I also recommend spending money on upgrading one of the training facilities (will cost you about £1M) as this will increase your teams stats.
