Quote: Kosh "Then you have an odd method of assessing worth. Westerman was one of our best players last year and earned an England call-up. This year he's lacked game time due to a serious injury and is struggling to get back to form but suddenly he's always been cr@p and we should get rid in favour of a promising youngster who's yet to prove he has what it takes at this level?
Even during last night's dropsy-ridden performance he was one of the few players running good lines, hitting holes, and making busts. He may have bombed a load chances but at least he was in the right position to create them in the first place. And he put in a huge defensive stint with 45 tackles. But some can only see the bad stuff I guess.
Was his performance of the required standard? Clearly not, as he's said himself. Is he capable of the required standard? History says yes he is and a lot more also. But let's just sack him off after half an injury-blighted season and one very poor game, eh?
This is why we can't have nice things.'"
A decent post, but in the 4 years or so ghe has been at Hull I would say he has had two good seasons his first and last year, I reckon he has player well in less than 50% of the games he has played. I have been a big fan if his and really want him to reach his potential on a consistent basis, but I just think he will do at Hull. If we can get a fee and use his salary elsewhere then I think it would benefit the club and put is in. A better position, which is what we all want.
