| Thanks again Wilf, must have been a little easier to write this week, but nothing to enthuse about was it. We won't be able to go on Friday but will listen with hope.

| Great read again Wilf.
On one point I disagree. "Emotionally" attached supporters like me are STAYING away.
I speak to many Hull FC supporters on my travels around Hull both from my work and social circumstances and believe me, many are long associated supporters to Hull FC who are generally totally 'pi22ed off' with the lack of commitment of some players, the lack of a decent proven coach and importantly the fundamental failings of the team, week in, week out, year in and year out.
Coupled with poor officials who DO NOT improve their personal performances, contribute significantly on disappearing supporters.
After 44 years supporting Hull FC, my next attendance will be at the Magic Weekend. I will wear my shirt with all the usual passion. However, I don't expect us to win and I'm going for the 'pi22 up'......says it all really.

You make a great point about the DNA and culture of the club where it seems just doing enough is not just OK but the aim. That is underlined by the article and comments attributed to Yeaman before Friday's game in his interview with James Smailes www.hulldailymail.co.uk/s-crisis ... story.html
In particular this
"For the three weeks before the Huddersfield game, we were going well and maybe that made us a little bit too relaxed last week."
and
"I'm sure this week everyone will see a different attitude and a different team."
No you weren't going well and if you don't recognise that or the fact that we don't want to see a different team every week - we want to see the right attitude every time the team takes the field - then things will never change. Their standards and expectations need to be higher.
I was going to say the bar needs to be higher but that would just attract the responses about the players not being able to get at their beer no doubt
