| Quote Errlee Berd="Errlee Berd"Has anyone seen the anonymous letter Angus Young received from a hull City employee?
The gist of it was that Hull City have been abusing the SMC, running non-stadium and Hull City specific costs through the SMC books.
'"
I would think that was how Adam Pearson set it up. The SMC bought County Road North and the Cottingham training ground under his stewardship. It is likely that Hull City rented both facilities from the SMC.

| So basically nearly all Hull City's debts are run through the SMC so every one else pays for them .
Is what is been said or implied .
This is why need a forensic audit and City Council should see this and act

Under Adam Pearson the SMC bought the training ground in Cottingham and Ideal Standard Sports and Social Club, County Road North. I would have expected them to have been rented to Hull City AFC at a commercial rent. Russell Bartlett and Assem Allam just continued the existing arrangements. It was fairly sensible business practice by Adam Pearson as it divorced the assets from the football club.
If the land was sold last year but the staff remained employed but the SMC there should be a charge to Hull City Tigers Limited for their services. If there is nothing untoward has happened.

| Has that away support fund money been spent yet? I've seen a lot of disgruntled tweets about it but don't really know what it is and why people are taking exception to it?

i believe each premiership club gets a set amount from the Premier League to help subsidise away travel for supporters, the clubs are suppose to pass this on to them

| £200k iirc. To help subsidise away support. Doesn't have to be travel, can be tickets, but it's not really for t-shirts.

an extra £200k/year until 2016 to offset some away fans ticket prices but I guess which set of fans you offer them to is up to each club, having reciprocal agreements to try and encourage each of those in that agreement to travel cannot be extended to every club..That said increasing from £35 to £50 is more than a bit of a pish take.

I mentioned this two years ago about having reciprical agreements between rugby clubs including those with the biggest away following (us and rovers are outstanding given the distances) should be given a reduction like for like IF the away following is similar in numbers, sliding scale reduction so it encourages those clubs to sell tickets and maybe help organise cheaper away travel.
We could also get the club to get some form of agreement to have a reduced cost away season ticket deal for example say 5 games (either preset matches with deals with certain clubs or open choice) thus guaranteeing advance sales for our club whilst giving fans a reduction on top..win win for everyone.
You could even offer it as an add-on as part of a home game season ticket package.
Travel cost and travel time are certainly two of the biggest factors for away fans, not usually the actual cost of the ticket, though that can be used to encourage it often isn't enough.
IF the RFL got a sponsorship deal with a train company so fans would be offered discounts on train travel that would certainly be something many fans would be interested in I feel.
