Would definitely go to this sort of thing at a Manchester stadium, Wembley would be too much of a trek if the bunnies weren't playing.

Promoted by the NRL and shown live on terrestrial TV this would work. Promote it amongst all the RL clubs in the South East with good ticket pricing to encourage all the players in the SE with their families and if need be the union clubs.
I'm a member at a union club (soon to have league introduced) and I would feel confident that I could attract a coach load to a big game like this.
Make sure the game is the highlight of a day of fun and action and this could do for the NRL and RL what is happening to the NFL in London.
If the players held training sessions in RL clubs in the south this could build over the years and be a revelation.

I'm sure all the negative flat capers will soon be eating their words. But it must be promoted by the NRL.

Granted, but it was on a tuesday nite wasnt it? Get tge nrl clubs involved and watch it grow over a weekend

I'd happily see Magic Weekend scrapped and a proper 9's tournament in its place. We couldn't do it pre season like they do in Oz as there's a slight difference between a February in Oz and Manchester!

That has as much foundation as stating that most RL fans have chips on their shoulders about the clap brigade down south....
