I think it is fair to say, Yeaman has not played outside a decent 6/7 since the Paul Cooke days. He has been criticised for years about the lines he runs and that he cant break the line. IMO opinion, if he stays fit and healthy and playing outside Sneyd and Price we could see a whole different player this season. He needs decent service, and he needs to be given space to play and I cant remember the last time he got that. There is now genuine competition for places in the squad, and to add to that 2 decent playing halfbacks I'd like to think he will recapture some good form.

Yeaman starts the season as the best player in that position. Will he end the season the best? Maybe not. He looked very droppable last year but he is still capable of scoring a lot of tries and still hits really hard so he could. If Hull finish in the top 8 then it wouldn't surprise me if Yeaman has a productive year.

His age also needs to be taken into account. 32 next birthday is old for a Super League centre. Its a decision which needs to be taken at the end of the season IMO. I would not be happy about him getting an extension in June or July.
