Quote: knockersbumpMKII "Sooo, let's see.
21 year old lad shipped over as an emergency, played 14 games with 7 wins even with a still out of sorts Holdsworth alongside (whom though a good field kicker isn't talented otherwise), he has no-one else to turn to as we still don't have a 7 and missing our most potent strike force (Lineham/Crooks) for the last 6 of those games (I include Wembley even though Crooks did play)
Overall given the circumstances and his swift transition to come over to play not a bad record for a kid thrown in the deep end.
2014, clearly not flavour of the month from the start, his main connection (& family member with the club has been fired (for having the temerity to get us two top 6 places and a Wembley appearance no less).
He doesn't play in any of the first 6 games despite us being poop then comes in and we win handsomely against Salford, he's in a side that scores 36 points the next game (Salford in the CC) but our poop defence overall let's us down & we lose by 1 point, next game we win handsomely against Hudds, that team that were the LLT winners and finished 3rd this season. Narrow loss to Rovers then a standard win against the whipping boys London.
4 losses on the bounce (because they were all his fault of course) then a covering the cracks win against London then dropped and that's his Hull FC career over...
Do you know what, it stinks to high heaven, bullocks has the kid been given a chance, he's had 10 games..TEN. We've being dog turd all season long barring a couple of games (Hudds, Saints & maybe Widnes though they played their worst game ever apparently)
Radford had it in for him from the off and if you think all the blames lies at his door for the losses, well see how amazing we were when he didn't play before AND after. Yeah we won a couple of meaningless games against the dobbins and a Leeds side with play-offs already in sight. We won four out of those ten games with 2 x one point losses, even so our winning ratio with him in the side was better than without him..go figure eh? (Our friendlies don't count because they were a loving shambles!)
Some of the side had their places cemented despite being much worse which is just laughable, he's had nack all support, he's being effectively left on his own (aside from his missus of course) & cast aside and told 'you're out', you're never playing again..love off.
Show me another 21yr old half that's been left out in the cold at the start of the season, told to carry a side like ours mid season that has succeeded when you have a *'coach' like ours at the helm (*I hesitate to use the word as a true descriptor of Radford as he just isn't)
Yeah..and we wonder why no-one good wants to come to our club.
Thanks Windy, I hope things work out for you lad.'"
I agree with most of that!!
I have zero doubt that Jacob Miller will join a list of players that succeed and go on to much bigger and better things after Hull FC. He is a good player, the fact that he is on big money is not his fault...
