Richard, Many congratulations on a great career. To have played over three hundred games at top level is testimony to your skill, courage and dedication. To win tonight was a fitting tribute to a great clubman. We all wish you every success in your coaching career at Hull F.C. and seeing you create the stars of the future.

For me Richard Horne is too young yet to be a 'legend' but he is definitely our stand out player in the Superleague era so far. 300+ appearances and 100+ tries guarantee that at the very least.

From 1999 to 2007 when he played in his natural role he was second only to Danny McGuire as a running try scoring half back. Thereafter injuries and the fact that he was often expected to kick and move us around the field curtailed his effectiveness. Basically his career was split pre and post Paul Cooke.

Thank you Richard and best wishes for the future.

[size=100:1gwenaug]"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the (Dark) Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."[/size:1gwenaug]:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_35230.jpg

I've never been Richard Horne's biggest fan and often though he was over rated or miss used but nobody can deny the man's commitment and dedication as a Hull FC player. A true clubman in every sense of the word. I hope he has as good a coaching career as he has had as a player. It will definitely be strange not seeing him take the field next season.

It's been a pleasure watching you devolop from a boy in the A team, to that debut against Leeds in the 1st team, when you became a man, for me, your one of the FC greats, never a bad word about you in the press, you represented FC impeccably, all the best for your future coaching career, 1st team coach for us in years to come, cheers Richard, a legend
