Quote: Hessle Roader "Thanks as usual Wilf, for saying what so many think. This has been one horrible season and like you I'll be pleased when its over. If we can win on Friday and stop the enemy creeping into the play-offs it will be a little bit of comfort for us.
I really enjoyed your piece on dear old Mick Scott. I well remember the final at Maine Road as I was there with my dad. Unfortunately my dad had an accident on the way to the ground and was taken into someone's house to have his ankle strapped up. We watched the first half of the match on their TV but managed to get to the ground for the second half, so was there when Colin Hutton kicked the match winning goal. What a feeling that was!
Thanks for all your efforts this season and lets hope when next year comes round, your weekly offerings can be of a more cheerful nature.'"
Great memories and some kindred spirits getting just how I feel!!!
