I didn't find them distracting at all during the game. No difference from the old plastic/cardboard hoardings for me.

Time they go all of those stupid sponsor names and logos off the shirts as well. Completely ruins them and makes me feel dizzy looking at them

if people want to pay £75 each a game, sure, get rid of the adverts.
