Quote: FC Wembley 08 "I love it when people say Pearson has put a lot of money in.. Does anyone have any evidence of this?
He's restructured yes, but I feel that he's cutting back in a lot of areas.
There are a few areas where he is massively underinvesting and, dare I say it on here, worse than the Hetherington's. Such as, merchandise/shop.
He may have the ambition but he needs to start delivering on his bold promises or his investment will vanish.
I still hope he becomes successful but I'm not sold on him yet, I'm still of the opinion were he saw a big club, in a sport he's not familiar with and thought he could make a quick profit..'"
I am surprised you should doubt that Pearson has invested money in the club. What "evidence" do you expect to see? Maybe you should look at the accounts. The club is making a loss and Pearson is having to keep putting his own money in to cover the losses. Getting knocked out of the cup at the first attempt will have cost him too.
You need to remember he is not as wealthy as Koukash or Davy.
He has definitely invested in many areas, not least training facilities and the academy set up. True he has cut back on administration/office staffing and I believe the first team coaching set up needs further investement.
He bought the club to make a profit. he saw a business which was being badly run. He thought he could turn it round, make it profitable and sell it for more than he paid for it. The failures on the pitch and the consequent reduced income from paying spectators now mean this will take longer than he thought and I'm sure he is aware of this.
He has made some bad decisions due to a combination of a lack of knowledge of RL, appointing the wrong people and listening to bad advice but no-one can question his past and ongoing financial committment.
