Your forgetting Carvell, whom is on a wedge according to the Warrington fans - whilst he's not with you any more, it's seemed like you've been struggling to move cap space around ever since he moved to you, and right royally messed you up. As won't have been cheap either, walking away from a cushy union salary. Top it off with a couple of re-signings (shaul who'd of gone from a pittance to a sl salary) and genuinely I'd be amazed if you were 200k under the cap, let alone 400k!

As a point I've been meaning to ask, why is it believed McDonnell was on a big salary? He at most can be on at saints is (clough and gardner - contract extensions for our 3 most promising youngsters) which without knowing the figures could only really be 50k - I doubt he'd take a huge wage drop to stay in the country so it can't of been that much?

Ask Mcrae . Also Miller is supposed to be on a decent wedge aswell.

Carvell isn't with us so his salary no longer counts.

The one thing I can't get my head around regarding Radford's appointment is that Pearson gave him a three year contract.

Now, Pearson always seems fairly savvy to me when I hear him talk although I know he's still probably not up to speed on all things RL but three years for an unproven "coach"?

Surely he wouldn't have even considered that when wearing his football club owner's hat.

One year in which to prove himself would have been understandable although one year too much for me but three is just madness.

Well first off you don't know the arrangements with cas over whose paying carvells salary, hull might be still in part, and even if they aren't, there's every possibility that payments earlier in the year were backdated - as according to radford, you were "nearly up to the cap" when you were in talks with carvell (I can't be bothered to find the article) and signing carvell would mean "others would have to go" - but they never did ...

Your recruitment this year has baffled and confused me, constantly saying that your near to the cap, yet bringing more players in, it was always going to catch up with the team... The McDonnell situation just further confuses me (but I won't go into that)

Fwiw at the start of the year I had you down as 6-8th relatively comfortably. I don't think it's as simple as blaming one man, there seems to be a block (mental or physical) in hull that stops both teams achieving their potential which runs much deeper

He can't blame nobody other than himself for this ridiculous appointment .
