What Gentle had that Radford hasn't is head coaching ability.

I won the Grand Final on 'Legend' in my first season on Rugby league Live as HullFC. I didn't have to 'build my own team'. Loads of dummy runners too

RL is not like football. Its difficult to sack the coach mid-season because there isn't a pool of replacement candidates out there. You can't lure another team's coach away mid-season so you either promote the assistant or appoint from the ranks of the unemployed.

I think AP needs to decide now whether to stick with Radford for another season or replace him and if the latter he should be looking for someone now with a view to pulling the trigger as soon as our season ends on 12th September.

Why should he be given to the start of next season,his recruitment has been poor,after 2 thirds of the season he is no nearer knowing his best side than he was when he took over,players confidence must be low,because if your not in his gang your place in the side is uncertain. Iam sorry to say I dont think radford is up to it,we still have leeds and saints,castleford to play at home as well as rovers,and have to go to wigan and huddersfield,so to be fair our best chance of another win is at bradford.Radford said he would walk if he couldn't do the job,well how low do we have to sink before something is done ?

Hang on there why does it have to be at the end of the season?
It would finally be a bright spot in an otherwise depressing and boring season for us.
Anyway it's worked quite well for Wakey and Rovers thus far and if it's good enough for them it's good enough for me.

As much as im not a Radford fan I also think that most looked at the squad that Gentle has assembled fro the coming season and said it would finish 6th to 10th and unfortunately its gonna be more like 10th or even lower. The half back situation was always going to hinder the team as we basically have two rookies and a knackered old man with health issues and without halfs most teams are crap - look at Saints without Walsh last week. This is no way a defence for Radford as I don't think hes the right man or if he is he needs an experienced assistant along side him but I think Radford will get till midway next season before anything is done, only problem is a lot more supporters will probably be done with the club by then

That is arguably the best post I've seen from you. Agree 100% I'd be interested to see how we'd get on with an experienced coach alongside Radford or just somebody to coach the attack, read in an article somewhere that our defence is in the top 4 this season & actually better then last season. We just have no idea when it comes to attack, understandable really when we've got no decent halfs & a former forward as coach.

I'm no Radford fan nor was I happy at his appointment as coach in the first place but the mess that McRea & Gentle have left us in is going to take some time sorting out .
His recruitment is poor ? . The general consensus of the Sa & Sneyd signings are fairly positive I would say , Hadley , Lancaster & Abdul all making positive debuts with the possibility of more making their debuts this season which is a good thing as this season is gone imo.

Heard Last didn't want the assistants job in the first place .
