Thinking about it I'm leaning towards Smith purely because I think that he will be able to attract a better quality of player to the club than Powell.

Agreed but Powell has done a great job getting the Castleford players to up their game. We have some good players at the club and I do think that a few of them are not playing to the best of their ability. I'm not saying we'd suddenly jump into the top 4 or anything like that but someone like Powell might do a good job of getting our existing players to play better.

I think radford is safe for now. Seems pearson is convinced it's a player/culture issue and that radford is the man to sort it. God knows why when radford gas been here for the last 8 years and club captain for a chunk of it. I can see wakey going above us in the next 4 or 5 games which would probably force pearson's hand

or on the other hand Pearson could be doing what Tottenham have done with Tim Sherwood, hire an explayer until someone better is available.
