Quote: Doc Brown "Whilst I agree that Crooks's defence hasn't been the best so far this season, I do think he hasn't been handled well. He's been dropped and had the finger pointed at him at times. That's hardly going to give him the confidence he needs to get his form back. And I'm not sure a month at Donny will either as he'll have been dropped again. I feel he needs a run of games and some faith and backing.
Yeamo, although he's been a great servant to us, is in the later stages of his career and we need to be thinking about the future of the team.'"
Crooks was dropped for exactly ONE week. In the Dugout, Lee Crooks said he was told the reasons why he was dropped and would work hard to rectify the faults.
Sorry, but one week is NOT enough to get that defence, positioning and desire back. At all. I don't buy the "second-season syndrome" either, until it's classified as a medical condition.
If he's not good enough to play, he doesn't play, end of story. I've had enough of Yeaman being poor week-in and week-out and STILL getting selected without another one of our poor back-line getting the same treatment. Yeamans last good season was 4 years ago.
Separately, what's up with Colbon?
