I think relegation will be the best thing for them, their 1,000 or so die-hards will still go, they've been going for years now despite bad rugby since the 21st century began and they'll still go.
they've now found a modern (albeit small) ground that has training facilities, so now is the time to start again in SuperLeague2 with young/local players and hope to build from there. Fans like to see a winning side, even if its a side winning at a lower level. I'd rather watch HullFC winning Superleague2 than finishing 12-14th in a relegation and pressure less league where the season ends by May for example.
