BOTH sets of fans paid tribute to Steve Prescott tonight it was a moving and fitting tribute to him, from the moment the family and friends of Steve came onto the pitch to a guard of honour of both teams the applause didnt stop with "there is only one Steve Prescott" being sung by both sets of fans , both during the tribute and during the game, I doubt there was a dry eye in the house, a fantastic tribute from two great clubs.

Thought Hull where very good and will win quite alot of games this year. Joe Westerman was outstanding and your pack look very big, dident realize how tall Whiting was either. Thought your half backs moved the ball well aswell.

As a Saints fan i'm more than happy with the 2 points, our first win at Langtree over Hull. Your fans where fantastic aswell, good luck next week.

Last nights result could have been a lot closer, you could have gone in at halftime with a 16-6 score line, because first half Hull were slightly better..

You could do everybody a favour by beating Warrington shortly by putting them into an early season relegation battle.

I'd have taken that before the game.
Scored 22 against the team who I believe will be the team to beat this year.

I was really disappointed after the game that we let a good position slip. However after reading some comments from both Hull and Saints fans and looking at the bigger picture it's not a bad nights work again really. We have some lessons to learn, but we aren't far away imo. Next week will be interesting, Warrington havn't impressed me one bit. I don't think they've got the attacking threat to blow us away in 20 minutes like Saints did.

Warrington have a a tough opening 3 games against probably 3 of the top 5 in SL.


I doubt they will get the wobbles though as after Hull the safety net of London approaches.

In terms of the cup. A 12 point margin is nothing.

I predicted 32 - 20 so was out by 4 points. But with home advantage, you will get a couple of calls that you don't get away from home and it will be all on.

Pretty well in the first half, kicking game not superb but adequate to keep Saints coming off their line. Neither had much opportunity in 2nd half because we had so little possession.

Not sure but I thought Rankin may have picked up an injury? Any mention of this?
