what's worrying me is that we've never had a hammering like that from a lower division team in a pre season friendly - even with kids playing. something just looks wrong at the club to me

We got beaten by a good team they had most of there first 13 on & we had a few first teamers in for a bit then our kids in & they taught us a lesson...our kids needed to keep there feet on the ground rather then walking around in an FC hoodie thinking there the finished article, people saying we are going to be relegated & think the club are in turmoil make me laugh!

nonetheless it was still a lower division team and our first teamers didn't exactly set the world alight in the first half. we should have at least handed over to the youngsters with a lead. when we have had good seasons in the past we have built a bit of momentum in the pre season to carry into the season proper. but what the hell it was only a friendly, i'll live with that for now, let's see where we are after the first 10 games or so, but i reserve the right to be worried

Other then the 7 role I think our recruitment is even or better for the new season, a couple of friendlys don't determine your season ahead, I think after last seasons lows people are just worried we are no further on AP is doing a lot for us in not just the season ahead but years to come.

Fev had around 9 new signings in that side today who had only played together 2/3 times, with possibly 6 sat in the stand and not involved who were regular first teamers last season.
Take a look at the Hull team sheet and tell me which players from the following will not be regular first team later this month.......Shaul, Lineham, Yeamon, Crookes, Horne, Miller, Rankin, Watts, Green, Whiting, Westerman, Bowden, Thompson & arundel..........
admittedly you also had half a dozen players not playing..........but dont make out the players above should not be too strong for any part time team

No argument from me, we should have been able to win the first half but we were poor and Fev were really up for it.

Second half was pointless and I hope it hasn't damaged any of the kids confidence too much.
