Great thread guys.
Some things I miss:
- Being spoilt for choice for sports shops in Hull (Arco, JJB, First Sport, Sports Division etc).
- Same with CD shops
- Winter rugby (in some ways!). Okay the game's moved on which is great, but there was a special close-knit feel between the die-hard people who turned up on bitterly cold days back then.
- Sports Mail
- Matchday programmes being a must-have for all your club info, rumours etc (not bought them regularly for about 14 years and they're pretty much redundant IMO).
- School days
- Doing a paper round every week for a fiver, and then consequently feeling loaded when you did a spare round and got a tenner that week.

- Pat Sharp and Neil Buchanan being the kings of kids after-school TV
- Car boot sales: loved being nowhere else from about 7-13. Magical places with a mixture of families earning some spare cash, Del Boy-wannabes, and people just looking for bargains. Got some great RL stuff in my time.
- EA Sports releasing great rugby games (on the Mega Drive for example).
- Games of slam
- Knock-off ginger, lol.

- Croggies
- RL shirts with proper collars and buttons.

- Boothferry Park (a magical place in Hull and I hate it when people knock it - a great ground doesn't necessarily have to be modern IMO).
