That's some pretty impressive numbers, 500 schools, close to 1200 teams, 120,000 students taking part and then around 40 amateur clubs in the London area.
This is great progress, I agree, but we're talking London Broncos and Super League.
Genuine question (I honestly don't know and the numbers just don't add up):
If there are so many people involved and playing RL at many levels in London how come so few of them support their local SL franchise?

Think the last time was back in the 80's wasn't it?
More to the original point, a merged Cumbrian SL side has been attempted twice in the Summer era and both times it was rejected by the clubs and fans. There simply isn't any appetite for it. |
