Quote: VerbalKint "This is the only argument the 'pro-London' lobby have is the effect on the amateur game in the capital if London where to fold. How many young players are missing the chance of progression in Cumbria without a SL team in their area. Hundreds of amateur clubs and thousands of youngsters playing the game there.
No matter how you try to spin it, London in all its different guises has being a complete and utter failure imo'"
It depends on your criteria of what makes a club a success?
Personally, a club who contribute to vastly increasing participation numbers in the country and the talent pool for SL clubs is pretty important. Losing London would have a far bigger negative impact on the game than losing say Wakefield, Castleford, Widnes or Salford.
They've fallen on hard times, terrible management and ownership for the past 6 years. We've been there too in the past, we were bailed out. I'm not sure why, generally, RL fans have such apathy towards London.
