If true, why does Pearson think its good for club and player announcing this fact! After what happened with Seymour. It was the club who allowed dj an extended break last pre season h when should have ben forming an effective partnership with Seymour and been heavily involved in the formation of some attacking plays, the club then changed the 7 to a rookie 7 from another league so again a transitional period is extended in key positions. What happens if there's no 6s available and do we ditch a good field position kicker (which we haven't had in years ) to a line runner which we already have in Horne. Unless its a current world class 6 its a wastie imho. How does going public with this statement effect holdsworth knowing he is surplus if he actually then stays at club.

Didn't say it exactly but mentioned Holdsworth quite abit on talk sport yesterday. Also stated Miller would be going nowhere and will be back on Nov 1st.

Mentioned were after a new half and would either trade/sell to get one.

He didn't explicitly say it but the fact that we are looking at overseas halves again and that AP said we are still lacking a general tells me he doesn't think too highly of DJ.

Maybe we are pinning our hopes on HTW and would be happy to bring in someone like Pryce as a stop gap until he is ready.

I'm all for a bit of honesty but there's somethings which achieve nothing going so public about. He only had to quash the miller following gentle rumour. Would Pryce solve anything for this team short term, better off investing in a rated attacking coach

Seems to be a of a conclusion jumped to here. Don't think it's been confirmed anywhere, just possibly inferred last night. And whilst Pearson did explicitly say that Miller would be back for training Nov 1st, he also followed it up by saying that the full squad will be, which still includes Holdsworth.

I suspect that the situation is as described, but has not been publicly confirmed as Humberside have said.

I'll listen too it again but I'm pretty sure he never mentioned Holdsworth by name. He referred to the halfback situation last season being too inconsistant and agreed when a caller quoted facts about our best games were when Horne was on the pitch. It did come across as Holdsworth would be the likely one to go but I also got the impression it depends on how he responds in preseason and it would ultimately be Radders call.

He mentioned that we were looking to bring in another halfback. He also said any players coming in would have to be traded for. He also said that Miller would be here next year and championed Horne, he slated every part of our game that Holdsworth was in charge of, slammed the turn up one in four games 'people' whilst referring to a question about him and knocked that players were allowed to come back in dribs and drabs last year.
Then when asked if Holdsworth would be moved on, he said if there's business to be done, we'll do it.

I don't think any conclusions are being drawn that are wrong. It's quite clear in his tone and by what he said that if he can he'll move DJ on. That then leaves the problem that if we can't move him on, we're stuck with a player that AP has slammed publicly, again.

I tend to agree, but unless I've missed it somewhere it's still not technically right for Humberside to say that Pearson has said we'll listen to offers for Holdsworth specifically. Unless he did it off air, which would bring into question whether or not it was intended to be made public.
