Although I'm not impressed by the plans, I don't think they are financially motivated. I think Pearson thinks he has had his fingers burnt by the Aussie duo of McRae and Gentle, so is now thinking 2 locals will be a better bet. While Pearson isn't a rich Oligarch with money to burn, he's got enough to fund a top SL club.

Not sure I agree. I think he's put a fair wedge into the club and fair play to him for doing so but its achieved absolutely feck all infact you could say weve gone backwards so now he's reigning it back in with a cheap coaching team and bang average signings hoping that in X years time the young lads will step up to the mantel. The problem with that is very few local players have gone on to achieve great things in the game in recent years so that is another plan that may not work out too. In the mean time the faithful seem to be giving up which can only mean greater spending cuts and the spiral then continues.

Well, we copied Wigan hiring an Aussie assistant coach. Now we're copying them with a former forward of the club with no head coach experience.

It's an almost a copy of the Wigan model. Invest massively in youth n in the top positions have wane, deacon, radlinsky all local boys.

Well, let's hope for a similar end.
