Come on , have not been on here for sometime due to the tripe some write, but reading that some people can defend the coach, and then ask what Sharp is doing also that the players are good enough. This season has been one of our poorest in some time, we have shown very little attacking ability , but for me the lack of passion is not accepatble. Even last night we had a chance to at least stick it too Saints but again bullied in evey position, Gentle has the weakest set of players ever to put on a Hull shirt. For all you who say keep him did not see many of you at the end last night, and my final rant, think of this what is going to improve, many of the players out their last night their for next season so what will change.

Hyperbole.

When people say this season is our poorest in some time, they really can't have been watching the club very long.

2013 - 6th (7th if Catalans win) and a CC Final. Beat Leeds. Beat Rovers twice. Beat Wire away. 70+ points win. 54-0 win (first time kept a side to nil since 2004 in SL).
2012 - 6th. Out first round of cup. Beat Leeds. Beat Rovers twice. 70+ win. Play off win.
2011 - 8th. 3 50+ point wins (first 50+ in years). No nils. No play off win. No win against SL opposition in CC.
2010 - 6th. 42points highest score. No play off win. Out first round of cup. No nils. 2 wins against KR. None against Leeds.
2009 - 12th. Out first round of cup. Scored 30+ on only two occasions. No derby wins.
2008 - 11th. CC Final. One derby win, 3 defeats. Two 40+ wins.

I think we've had a small golden period (for us) between 2004-2007 and many seem to think that was just yesterday. We've been awful since 2008. This year has actually been a highlight amongst the last 6.

And forgot to mention the youngsters we've brought through in the last two seasons compared to the four before.

Before this season started most fans wanted a top 6 spot and a good cup run. We had a good up run and we are still on course for a top 6 finish with Wire winning 10-0. Yes we have been poor in attack throughout the season but we have again suffered with our halfback pairings. We have been poor in the forwards and we need to add more power up front next season as well as a halfback.
We have a new competition starting next week and 4 wins will win it, not likely to happen but lets see how it goes before we all start feeling depressed.
