gents has proven that he can pick a team and devise a game plan to beat any team in super league. why we have dropped silly points this season is up for debate but when gentle finds the illusive formula for consistency we will be a force in super league

Still think Gentle hasn't finished with our team. He's tried improvement's but the injury curse always seems to find a way of dampening our year.

Don't believe what the Star say's. True there's no smoke without fire but feel Gentle's job is safe.

Him and AP have done wonders with the youth structure and the future does look good.

At the point you posted, 5 people had said they wouldn't sack Gentle. Only 2 of those suggested he get another full year.

What a few more DID say was what they thought would happen, and several saying that they are still undecided, and it will swing on where we finish and the final result (pretty much exactly as you've just said).

Also, whilst in the minority, there were comments like this even in our run of 5 losses, so it is not really the vast turnaround you're suggesting.

Perhaps I was a little unclear in that I limited my comments to just this thread. There has been a significant change in rhetoric towards Gentle (and our situation in general) since the Warrington game when, in real terms, not a lot has changed. The post immediately preceding the one of mine you questioned being an obvious example.

Since then, several more posters have added to the strong sense of positivity that was almost absent a couple of games ago.

If you're not restricting it to this thread, that's a little different but I still don't entirely agree. It's not necessarily about people changing their minds over one game, there's also the fact that those with positive feelings all along will more comfortable voicing them now than a couple of weeks ago, when they'd have been shot down and possibly ridiculed. With changing fortunes there is a certain element of change in the forum population, and thereby a shift in some of the content. Works both ways, too, have a look at how many posts Sebasteeno has made since the Warrington game.
