| In 2010 they invited all the players from that final down as it was 25 year anniversary. Some of us had a great drink with the Hull squad. Sadly though they all had to pay their way down. Its not like they are multi millionaire footballers. So not all down. That said it was a great turnout by the Hull lads and I met the great Knocker again which was a highlight.
Can't see it happening this time though.

| @HDMsport: Peter Sterling: To be at Wembley and hear #HullFC fans singing Old Faithful again would be 'spine-tingling' - I'll do all I can to be there
Fly him in AP

| I hope they bring in any remaining team members of the 1959 final too. Apart from Johnny Whiteley and Billy Boston I believe others survive today including Cyril Sykes from the "Panzer Pack"and Tommy Finn from Hull and Dave Bolton, Brian McTigue, Mick Sullivan and Keith Holden from Wigan.
Convinced we would beat them that day but it was a great match despite the obvious disappointment. Still have the programme with the teams as follows:
Hull FC. Keegan Cowan Cooper Saville Watts. Matthews Finn. Scott Harris Jim Drake Sykes Bill Drake Whiteley.
Wigan. Griffiths. Boston Ashton Holden Sullivan. Bolton Thomas. Bretherton Sayer Barton Mc Tigue Cherrington Evans.
Came from Aus to see the 1985 match ( and the 1980 derby) too.
Maybe I am part of the jinx on Wembley matches not being won! (Was also at the 1960 match against Wakefield)
If I do come it will be my 20th Challenge Cup final at Wembley and most certainly my last.
