| Quote K-Diddy="K-Diddy"I get what you're saying but atm Briscoe is one of the best 2 wingers at the club, Shaul is probably the 3rd best fullback & nowhere near a wing spot.'"
I personally don't think on this seasons showing that briscoe one of the best two wingers at the club, if you'd have give briscoe or infact any winger with confidence the open space that he had last night he'd have backed himself and just used his speed just like crooks did, but briscoe is low on confidence and doesn't seem to have that knack of knowing where the line is this season, and I also think that is affecting yeamos game also, its hard to up your game when the person next to you isn't showing any great deal of passion or ability.

| Shaul needs to go to PG and apologise for letting the club down at York. PG should then get in touch with York and ask them to give Shaul another chance. Then its up to Shaul to show whether he's actually interested in developing or would he be happier being a big noise at Skirlaugh.

We've only got 3 wingers in the squad & I'm afraid Crookes is nowhere near Lineham & Briscoe. You don't realise what Tom brings to the team until he isn't not playing.

| I still don't think an 8 try return for the season is anything like what a top class winger should be getting, and his defence has taken a turn for the worse. He needs to sort his future out, and while he come to a decision we should be anticipating his departure by giving somebody else a chance.

Purely on a very short term comparison I saw nothing from Briscoe last night that Crookes couldn't have done or vice versa the week before. At the moment there's not much to choose between them.

| Whilst I am happy with McDonnell he is no Sam Tomkins and I do wonder if a lot of fans praise him more because we have had e there for the last few seasons. Also if he is being considered as one of our better performers it says alot about the rest of the team. However I wouldn't drop him for Shaul.

It's more difficult than that though, York actually acquired their own full back in the off season and have chosen to play him instead of Shaul. Fair enough really, just means that Shaul can't get a game, which isn't ideal. That said, when he has had an opportunity there he's hardly made a good impression.
We should have looked to loan him out.

Early season he was perfoming really well, hasn't continued in that vein and not seeing as many tackle breaks albeit he still makes good metres. Not done much wrong all season and won't be dropped for Shaul. Much as I was impressed with Shaul in the Easter Monday game at Wakey, he needs to be patient and await his opportunity, certainly one for the future.

The problem is that our Full Back Tom Carr is having an outstanding season so far, and we have a pretty settled back line who play very well when our pack is on top.
One regular in that back line is yours however. He is playing very well indeed, and thats Jack Briscoe.

| Reading Shaul's tweets last night I saw nothing in it really. I can understand his frustrations in not being able to redeem himself by getting a game anywhere though.
York and Hull's Dual-Registration partnership is working very well in my opinion, as we are using it exactly how it should be. Lads not getting games is an unfortunate downside to it though.

| Is the bigger issue here not more about how we use this extra pivot rather than who actually is listed as FB. We can't seem to get our FB in the game, in the attacking sense that other clubs do. Tomkins and Brett Hodgson are the obvious ones but for all Eden's faults he gets plenty of trys and chimes in all the time, Grix at Hudds is very pivotal, the young kid at Catalans etc.
McDonnell appears to be very handy on his feet, has good balance and isn't slow so why aren't we utilising him more?
