I think the point that was being made is if Briscoe is not here next year then play Crookes to get him ready for next year.

So the other poster said O Meeley is not here next year so why not get Bowden in ready for next year.

Where do you stop, should Tickle be dropped if he does not commit.

Personally I think its farcical to even consider not playing our stongest 17 if they are fit regardless of whether they are here or not next year. Players like Crookes and Bowden will still get chances throughout the season.

I remember being stood behind the sticks at Headingley, & every kick off (when he was standing underneath the posts) he was getting allsorts. Suppose just because you didn't hear any yourself, doesn't mean it didn't happen.
