It could have been handled a lot better and even I can understand that publicly trying to replace him wasnt the best way of handling things but Hull will have to give him a chance to prove himself or get rid through pay off,this isnt good for the player or the club

Whilst I'd take the point that publically deriding a player probably isn't the best course of action, it would have been extremely difficult for the club to go all out to sign another halfback without anything appearing in the press.

Yep. Since Cooke left, Horne has been asked to play in a style that doesn't suit his natural talents. He's not an organiser, and he's not a kicker (though he did quite well last night), yet he's been forced to undertake those roles far too frequently over the past few years.

If we are able to sign a top HB for next year, Horne will make excellent cover along the back line. If not, and if he and Holdsworth stay fit, I reckon their partnership shows enough promise for this not to be the end of the world.

He's been better than average, many gave him MOM already this season, he was good last night and showed he does have a kicking game. With an actual 7 he shows his true game.
