He's been invited to bin any confidentially agreement and reveal everything.
Even a statement saying he wasn't responding due to the confidentiality agreement would be a start.

He's been invited in the press by someone who may very well not have the authority to make the offer. Frankly I'd rather he didn't risk our tenancy on such tenuous grounds. Oh - and some confidentiality clauses include a ban on even mentioning their existence.
There's also the matter, pointed out by the club's Media Manager last night, that nobody from the SMC or Council has been in direct contact with FC about any of this. So it seems to me that not responding to a media rant is the professional - and wise - thing to do.

I find that people who constantly refer to others wearing blinkers generally have problems with the concept of evidence-based arguments.

| Quote dazed78="dazed78"wont matter , City will leave the stadium within a few years anyway regardless of league position ... a number of east Yorkshire businesses have promised investment , planning permission given .. its only a matter of when .. not if .. the SMC being "given" to the council is the start .. the allams are playing a blinder here .. basically walking away with the best face they can ,,, Its sad its got to this but business is business it seems'"
Well enjoy travelling to Melton to watch city, as a city fan myself I certainly won't be going to watch them if there moved to Melton I don't think Allam realises how many casual floating fans he will lose by moving to Melton.
But personally I think your talking rubbish.

| If he was going to build something substantial plus complex etc etc then he'd be looking at closer to £100-150M. Rebuilding the KC stadium from scratch would cost around 20% more as it isn't a shed put together like warrington's or St.Helens stadium.
He hasn't got the money nor the backing to be able to afford the venture.
City would need to be a permanent fixture in the premiership for 10 years+ to get even close to paying even a smidge amount back on it and given the increase in wages and likely struggle to stay up it just isn't a viable business plan and full of huge risks.
He's seriously full of bull and if the council had one single brain-cell between them they'd see right through him. Sadly that council members are already washing their hands of the matter and their responsibilities to the people of Hull it could all end up getting very very nasty/messy.

The council can see through him, know what he's like and dislike him.. They are just powerless and gave more important things on their minds then getting involved in a legal battle over a stadium!!

| Aother factor that should be borne in mind is if he simply walks away from the SMC, how will that sit with the FA's "fit & proper person test"?

| The good thing to come out of this is that we've provided a media contact list for the unofficial Rovers forum which is now launching a "Fairness and Equality for ALL" campaign saying we're:
1 Bending franchise rules by including subsidised premier seats in our attendance figures
2 Getting "perks, privileges and benefits" whilst Rovers are reliant on the goodwill and finance of Hudgell and Crossland.
A couple of questions, then.
Is 1) true? Are we cheating on the numbers?
2) Personally I'd welcome visibility on the rental that Rovers pay on Craven Park council-owned land. Would be embarrassing if that rental agreement was a peppercorn one, but we do need all the details to make a comparison. We already know, of course, that the council purchased CP fom Rovers when in administration to allow them to continue to trade. And that the council have taken out prudential borrowing of £ms to build the North Stand. And that the council aren't liable for any losses the SMC make.
Agitating for greater visibility of all our clubs' beneficial (or otherwise) arrangements enabled by the council is a good idea.
