I remember getting Subbuteo World Cup edition (1974) which came with floodlights but also remember my old man taking them so my mam could see to cook our tea as there was no electricity due to power cuts. Presumably it would have been early 1975? No TV either - good times!

That is soooo funny I was lucky enough to miss much of the power cuts as was out of country but that is a cracking funny story.... my mate made a fortune selling candles from the basket of a bread lads bike !!
My younger brother had literally thousands of Airfix soldiers , he was battling the jerrys every single minute he wasnt at school or in bed, had a cracking airfix gun emplacement and a pontoon bridge went with them as well .... what great memories eh??
Merry xmas everyone
