There was a sizeable queue at one o clock - luckily for us, he started signing early and we got in quick. He was very willing to chat and is actually loving his rugby again, working with part-time players. He didn't have a good word to say about some of the pro's who just play for the money but don't love the game. He mentioned Yeamo as one of the old school players who'd play for free and the chance to wear the shirt.

very interesting read, while the start of 2006 was poor do think we only had 1 bad game and a poor 2nd half against wire. his point that he had worked with Shaun to lay the foundations for what happened in 05, 06 is fair and true point, as is the point of letting Briscoe, Cooke and Brough go.

does shed some light on what happened, do think its interesting that Agar was given more time to build a team than Kear did and that one of Pearson's first decisions was to bring in a new coach.

Anyway was a great turnout with what looks like hundreds sold and John was very friendly and chatty with everybody and very appreciative for people for buying his book and mentioned that it just shows what a city of rugby league Hull really is.
