Hypothetically speaking, if we were to get him, IMO Holdsworth/Prince could possibly the best combo we could have come up with out of all the permutations we've thought about this year. People were questioning Holdsworth/Chase as too similar. Keeping everything crossed.

Think this may well be the catalyst that PGs squad needs. Prince and Ellis signing for us (if it happens) may well show the doubters out there that AP means business. By doubters I mean players who we tapped up but who turned us down. I am sure the thought of playing, learning, from the likes of Prince, Ellis, Briscoe, Horne, and of course Gentle will be an incentive to any player with ambition. In much the same way that players have jumped at the opportunity to sign for Wigan, Saints, Leeds in the past.

Prince's age is not an issue for me. Look at who are the stand out players in SL at the moment. Briers, Hodgson, Menzies, Peacock, Sinfield, all still turning it on week in week out. Prince is highly regarded in NRL and if he could go round agin in 2013 there I am certain he can do it here for the next 3 years.

I won't believe until I see him launching our new shirts on the beach on the the Gold Coast on Monday but boy am I getting a little excited.

We are all hoping he signs,but I get the feeling that he dosen't really want to come.You would imagine that our offer of a big money 3 year deal at the age of 33 would be too good to turn down,but he seems to be stalling on the deal.I know it is a huge move to leave aussie for him and his family,but you either do or dont,2 weeks of excuses dosen't inspire confidence that he really wants to move.!

I understand the concern, but everything I've read about him indicates that he's professional enough that if he [idoes[/i come he'll put in 100% effort while here. And that's all you can ask.

Still not banking on it happening BTW. I've seen way too many false dawns.

I think it's done, and it's the signing that we need to take us to that next level. Over the moon with this signing a truly world class player. Before anyone says, I'm not putting a downer on him signing but the only thing we'll be missing from our halves next season is a running game. I can't wait to see Ellis running off the shoulder of Prince hitting the gaps!

Cracking signing if it comes off, I honestly thought the signings of top players from the NRL would be over now that there salary cap had gone up.
