I agree it would be an improvement but don't feel we should just sign someone because they will be an improvement. If Gentle thinks they are right then fair enough. But better options may be come available after next season or even during the campaign, I wouldn't want to see a big contract given to someone like Prince who is a 2 year stop gap if it will restrict our spending for a long term partner for Holdsworth.
Don't know anything about Miller but prefer the sound of him simply because he is at an age where we can look at him an Holdsworth working together for many years and building an understanding. |

If Gentle thinks Prince is the answer to partner Holdsworth, then so be it. Prince/Holdsworth looks far better than Seymour/Horney.

Haven't seen a lot of prince lately but he use to be a class player and would probably still be one of the best halfs in sl . The only downside to signing him or someone his age is like I said a while back , come 2/3 years time we"ll end up replacing both half backs again at the same time which could prove tricky .

TBH they way things are looking and the slim pickings this year alone with Wigan having a down grade from Finch & Leuluai to Smith & Green, Huddersfield struggling to find a replacement for Brown in the halfs etc it maybe a long while to find a class half that is a willing to come or stay here in the UK.
As long as what we start with next season is an improvement of this one just gone then I'm happy as we are moving forward and improving.
The days of signing the Stirlings, Kennys and latterly Barretts etc of the RL world are quite honestly well gone due to the huge difference in money between SL & NRL and can't see that changing anytime soon. |
