Remember buying this regulary a long time ago and all the funny characters mentioned here,
My favourite was the Brown Bottle but he seemed to go missing after a few months.
For those not familiar with the character IIRC he was a normal guy who drank some Newcy Brown then went into a phone box and came out as a superhero pi**ed out of his brains and ready to take on the world in a fight and swearing contest, a bit like town on a weekend really where you can see many 'Brown Bottle' types.

The best bit about the "Thieving Gypsy ba$t@rds" was that Viz issued an "apology" in the following issue.

It read summat along the lines of...

"Following our publication of the "Thieving Gypsy ba$t@rds" cartoon last issue, we have had a complaint from the Race Relations Board, asking us to apologise for our sweeping generalisation.

We would now like to clarify that, in our opinion, not all thieving ba$t@rds are Gypsies.

and in the sames issue as the offending cartoon they also ran another cartoon called the nice honest gypsies or something similar

and for anyone who has not a clue what we are on about rlhererl is the original

The funniest thing it is true.
