My favourite was the Brown Bottle but he seemed to go missing after a few months.
For those not familiar with the character IIRC he was a normal guy who drank some Newcy Brown then went into a phone box and came out as a superhero pi**ed out of his brains and ready to take on the world in a fight and swearing contest, a bit like town on a weekend really where you can see many 'Brown Bottle' types.

Always enjoyed Billy the Fish, especially when Fulchester United made it into Europe.

Away to Bratislava, their boat was delayed. Billy swims ahead with orders to keep it tight for the first 20 minutes. The game kicks off with Billy playing in goal against 11 men. Saves everything until the 44th minute when he spots the opposing keeper a few inches off his line and then chips him from 90 yards out. 1-0. At half time he is re-joined by his team mates and they go on to win the tie.
